Leadership skills for women: It’s your life, so make it what you want!

Molly AndersonElection of 2015-2016 Officers/Annual Business Meeting

Presentation - How do I assert myself?  How do I ask for and get what I want?  How do I earn the respect of my colleagues and peers?  Molly Anderson, executive director of Leadership Niagara will share tips and tricks leaders, particularly women, need to navigate the changing occupational landscape.

Molly Anderson, LN ’09 - ’14
Executive Director
Leadership Niagara

Molly Anderson joined Leadership Niagara as executive director in 2009 and embarked on the transformation and rebranding of New York's longest running community leadership development organization. Within the first year of her leadership, the organization adopted a bold new mission, vision, core values, strategies, bylaws, logo and virtual office and by year two instituted graduate-level leadership and organizational development, an emphasis on transformation and innovation, coaching and mentoring program, and an experience known by LN graduates as "one year that will change your life." She brought a regional and binational focus, aligning sessions with the region's priorities for economic development and initiated joint sessions and collaboration with Leadership Niagara Ontario and Leadership Buffalo. Leadership Niagara's program and alumni capacity has more than doubled in the past year and she has secured funding to sustain the organization's LYNC program to 400 high school students over the next five years. Leadership Niagara Class of 2014 is the largest and first bi-national class in the organization's thirty year history comprised of members from Niagara, Buffalo, and Ontario, Canada.
