Upcoming Events

Everyone is welcome to attend two of our events as a guest. This does not include the December or June fundraisers. After the second regular meeting you attend, we will ask you to join our organization.

There are NO refunds for any events and if you do not show after registering you will be billed. The events are always on unless the location is closed.

Registration prior to the meeting is required due to counts needing to be in prior to the event. No walk-ins or paying at the door. We ask that you please pay by credit card. You do not need to have a PayPal account to pay by credit card. Just check out as a guest. If you are paying by check the check must be received prior to the meeting date.

BNC Partners with Everywoman Opportunity Center

The board of directors of NYS Woman, Inc, - Buffalo Niagara Chapter, is pleased to announce that they will be participating in a volunteer program with Everywoman Opportunity Center of Buffalo (EWOC) for this upcoming year. We are truly excited to be able to offer our assistance to this very worthy group. Due to all the budget cutbacks, our help is coming at an important time as EWOC is struggling financially and cannot afford to pay for a lot of the things they need to run their program effectively.

After meeting with director Myrna Young and her assistant Elizabeth Eisenhauer, we have established three areas that our members can volunteer to help with:

Organizing the donations of professional clothes in their "Closet" that their clients choose from.
Working with the clients by assisting them with clothing choices that suit them best.
Volunteering to man the reception desk at the center (answer phone, help with various office tasks)
EWOC Mentoring Program- This would involve being a volunteer to mentor a client. Details of this new program have not yet been fully established, but would include meeting monthly and assisting a woman who has entered the program at EWOC.
