Everyone is welcome to attend two of our events as a guest. This does not include the December or June fundraisers. After the second regular meeting you attend, we will ask you to join our organization.

There are NO refunds for any events and if you do not show after registering you will be billed. The events are always on unless the location is closed.

Registration prior to the meeting is required due to counts needing to be in prior to the event. No walk-ins or paying at the door. We ask that you please pay by credit card. You do not need to have a PayPal account to pay by credit card. Just check out as a guest. If you are paying by check the check must be received prior to the meeting date.

Climbing the Corporate Ladder – Millennial Style

Our panel will discuss the ups (and downs) that face young women in today's ever-changing workplace. You landed that dream job; great! What now? Perhaps you're working up the corporate ladder: do you need a mentor? A sponsor? Is harassment still a thing? (Yes!) Our panelists include Caitlin Carlucci, Rates and Regulatory Affairs Department at National Fuel Distribution Company, Emily Nuding, Engineering Department at National Fuel Supply Corporation, and Cecily Rodriguez, principal and founder of HR company, ShiftHappens.

Panelists:

CecilyCecily Rodriguez -Cecily is founder of Shift Happens, LLC a consulting firm focused on Organizational Development, Human Resources, Career-Coaching, Facilitation, and Team Building. Cecily has worked in both manufacturing and the financial services industries. The bulk of her career spent in Human Resources doing everything from recruiting and employee relations to immigration and global relocations. She spent the better part of her career at Moog Inc., building a multi-million dollar Global Mobility and Immigration program.

She is a certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and has earned certification in Workplace Big 5, MBTI, DISC, Creative Problem Solving, Leadership Effectiveness Analysis 360 and the Mutual Learning Approach. Her expertise in helping groups work more effectively together has taken her across the US, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.

Cecily holds a BA in Journalism & Mass Communication from Kansas State University and MS in Communication & Leadership from Canisius College. In 2012, she had the distinct honor of being the inaugural speaker for TEDxBuffaloWomen delivering a speech on keeping women in the talent pipeline for leadership roles by implementing flexible work arrangements. She is an adjunct professor at University at Buffalo and Canisius College, founding member of both Women On The Rise and Women Events Buffalo, and co-president of the Buffalo Alumnae Association of Kappa Kappa Gamma.

Emily Nuding

Emily Nuding – Graduated from SUNY UB with a B.S. in Environmental Engineering in 2012. She received her M.S. in Civil Engineering with a discipline in Environmental Engineering in 2014 from SUNY UB. Emily has started her career path in the Engineering Department at National Fuel Supply Corporation for the past 3 years. She is currently working towards her goal of obtaining the NYS Professional Engineering license.

 Caitlin

 

Caitlin Carlucci – Graduated from UB with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. Caitlin started her career path at Citi Bank for 2 years after graduation and then moved on to National Fuel Distribution Corporation for the past 1 ½ years in the Rates and Regulatory Affairs Department. Caitlin has plans of owning and operating her own business in the future.
