Everyone is welcome to attend two of our events as a guest. This does not include the December or June fundraisers. After the second regular meeting you attend, we will ask you to join our organization.

There are NO refunds for any events and if you do not show after registering you will be billed. The events are always on unless the location is closed.

Registration prior to the meeting is required due to counts needing to be in prior to the event. No walk-ins or paying at the door. We ask that you please pay by credit card. You do not need to have a PayPal account to pay by credit card. Just check out as a guest. If you are paying by check the check must be received prior to the meeting date.

Corporate Responsibility/Serving on Boards - February Meeting

Lana BenatovichThere are several benefits to appointing more women on boards. When Fortune-500 companies were ranked by the number of women directors on their boards, those in the highest quartile in 2009 reported a 42% greater return on sales and a 53% higher return on equity. Yet, women represent only 16% of board positions. Please join Lana Benatovich who will be discussing opportunities for personal and professional growth and overcoming the challenges of attaining fulfilling board Positions.

Lana D. Benatovich is the President of The National Federation for Just Communities of Western New York. As President, Mrs. Benatovich has overseen the development, coordination and promotion of Diversity Programs, Community Policing Initiatives, Cultural Awareness sessions, Multi-faith/Multi-cultural community events, pro-active, anti-hate and anti-violence programming, and other programs that address the enhancement of human relations in our community. Mrs. Benatovich is a Tufts University graduate where she was awarded a Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education and holds a Master of Arts Degree in Educational Psychology from Columbia University.

Mrs. Benatovich is a past Chairperson of the Erie County Coordinating Council on Children and Families and a past president on the Buffalo Council on World Affairs. She has served on the Board of the Network of Religious Communities and was a commissioner of the Commission on Citizen’s Rights and Community Relations for the City of Buffalo. She currently serves on the Board of St. Bonaventure University.
